This short course classic is an event I have not raced in for many years. The last time I won this race was 2002, so I have decided to return to this event and have another go. San Diego is the heartland of Triathlon around the world and this event tends to bring in many of the top pro athletes who call this part of California home in the USA summers. It should be a good race to do again. Super fast and a huge field. Last year more than 1800 athletes enjoyed the event.
