January has to be the best month in Australia for training, and for those athletes preparing for Ironman Australia, Ironman 70.3 Geelong or the Australian Long Course Championships, it is a critical month of work. I am doing a big block of training this year as I intend to race in Ironman China in March, and will use the Australian season events to prepare for this. I will be on the same training program I used to execute for Ironman Australia for the 5 years I won this event.

December 04, 2009A Whirlwind month and more to come
November 27, 2009I think I start every blog by saying I intend to write a lot more, but these past 4 weeks have been incredibly busy. I am finally back in Sydney and have time to take a breather and sit down and write a blog. I am home for 10 days before I fly up to Monaco for a presentation dinner with the Formula 1 boys on December 11. That will be a quick trip but a lot of fun. As a F1 fan, I am looking forward to talking cars and racing with the boys. I will be home in Sydney after that and back to some solid training and consistency to kick off the new season. I am looking forward to it.

November 13, 2009Being Inspired
November 03, 2009I have to say, preparing for an Ironman is sometimes easier than the commitments you have post Ironman Hawaii each year. It has been much longer than I anticipated between this blog and my last blog so I do apoligize. I will keep this one relatively short, as my Kona wrap up was much longer than I thought.

1. Can you describe the difference in how you feel racing Kona as opposed to
racing other IM events?
Ironman Hawaii
October 15, 2009Well I was hoping to get a blog in prior to the race in Kona, but those last few days before the big dance is always tough. I apoligise and thank everyone who sent messages of support through my email, twitter and facebook accounts. I was bombarded and touched. I write this blog from Australia. I am finally home with my girls and have to say life does not get any better than this. I have uploaded some photos from the race to my site here and will throw some more video up over the next few days. We have so much foootage it is crazy. I will throw it all up today, as we start to plan our season for 2010.
Ironman World Championships
September 30, 2009I am back in Kona after a great two weeks with my family in LA. I have uploaded a few photos on my site from some of the training sessions we got done in LA through the Canyons north of Santa Monica. It was awesome. I managed to get a lot of the heavy ride work done with the Suisse Boys who were staying in Westlake. Ronnie finished 4th last year in Kona and was actually only 45 seconds slower than the winner on land. He lost the race last year in the swim, so when it comes to bike and run, he is definately one of the best in the World. Ronnie was great to wrk out with, and his mates where solid boys aswell.
